Description
Cross grading – re-grading your already graded card
With Black Grading Service's Cross Grading service, you can have a trading card that has already been graded and encapsulated by another grading company professionally graded again by us.
The card is removed from the existing case, re-assessed according to our current evaluation standards and then - if processed successfully - sealed in a suitable BLACK case.
The service is available for suitable trading cards up to a card weight of 130 pt.
PROFESSIONAL REASSESSMENT
When cross-grading, we do not automatically adopt the existing assessment from the previous grading company.
The card will be completely regraded and independently by Black Grading Service. Relevant criteria such as surface, centering, edges and corners are taken into account and combined to create a new overall grade.
From an overall rating of 7, the corresponding subgrades are also shown.
NEW BLACK CASE
After the revaluation is completed, the card is sealed in a BLACK case appropriate for the specific card strength.
This means that your card not only receives a new rating according to our standards, but also the appropriate presentation and protection in the Black Grading Service system.
DATABASE ENTRY & DIGITAL CARD CAPTURE
After cross grading, your card will be registered with an individual serial number in the Black Grading Service database.
The digital card entry includes an image capture and can be accessed via the QR code on the label or via the corresponding serial number.
MYSLAPS PORTAL & DIGITAL COLLECTION
You will receive access to the MySlaps portal and will be able to view and manage your newly rated card digitally.
Your digital collection includes a 3D slab view that lets you view, organize and present your graded cards clearly.
PROCESSING TIME
The regular processing time for cross grading is 10-14 business days.
